They should be organised, reliable and able to use their initiative, with good communication and administrative skills and an understanding of social housing or local government. Most importantly, they should genuinely care about residents’ wellbeing, safety and experience, building positive relationships while dealing calmly and diplomatically with issues, emergencies and change. They need to work well with colleagues and other services, contribute to continuous improvement, use resources responsibly and provide a consistently friendly, professional and responsive service.
