Job summary

COOK Horsham is seeking a Retail Team Member to warmly host customers and support everyday shop operations. You will help customers with menu ideas, ensure the shop looks clean and stocked, and assist with promotions.

You will operate the till, handle deliveries, and contribute to stock checks. Training provided; prior retail experience is welcome but not required. Part-time role with benefits and discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience not necessary but previous experience in Retail or customer facing role would be helpful.
• Willing to learn about COOK products and how they are made.
• Ability to up-sell and discuss offers and promotions with customers.

Responsibilities

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions.
• Keep the shop immaculate, stocked, and ensure freezers are full.
• Be proficient on the till and handle transactions efficiently.
• Understand shop paperwork and necessary legal checks.
• Open and close the shop, and perform end-of-day reconciliation.
• Check deliveries, place orders, and assist with stock takes as required.

Location: Horsham

Hours: 19.5 Hours (Wednesday,Thursday and Sunday)

Pay rate : £13.45 Per Hour

The Role

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.


• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions. Talk to customers about upcoming offers, products and promotions.


• We are a food business – make sure the shop always looks immaculate, clean and spotless, stock is replenished and rotated, and the freezers are full.


• Be a whizz on the till. Operate it efficiently and accurately.


• Understand the shop paperwork, necessary legal checks and their purpose.


• Open up the shop. Close the shop,End-of-day reconciliation


• Check in deliveries and placing orders, assist with stock taking as required.


• Look smart with apron, and name badge on at all times.

Good to Have

If you are a foodie then great, but we will train you to know our products, including how and where they are made, and to understand what dishes suit which occasions.

Experience not necessary but previous experience of working in Retail or in a customer facing role would be the icing on the cake.
