Job summary

Home Bargains is hiring a Team Leader to support store operations at our Waterlooville location. You will work hands-on with the management team to keep daily priorities on track, supervise colleagues, and ensure the store runs smoothly while delivering excellent customer service.

You will lead by example on the shop floor, coach teammates, and develop leadership skills in a fast-paced retail environment with clear development opportunities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Have experience supervising others in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
• Be confident supporting colleagues and leading by example on the shop floor.
• Demonstrate the following key skills and behaviours: prioritise and organise daily tasks, deliver great customer service, communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, and guide others to meet store standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the way, every day: Work side-by-side with your management team to keep things running smoothly, from setting daily priorities to helping the team hit our goals with confidence.
• Support that sticks: Welcoming new starters or coaching seasoned colleagues, you’ll be the go-to for guidance, training, and building skills that last.
• Customers come first (and come back): Help create brilliant shopping moments by offering advice, spotting ways to improve service, and ensuring the team delivers smiles at every turn.
• Keep the standards high, and the store looking sharp: From merchandising to compliance and safety, help ensure the store is a place customers and colleagues love to be.
• Make space for success: Share ideas, spark improvements, and help showcase our products in the best possible way, while keeping energy high and team spirit strong.
