Retail Supervisor – Part Time – Hours: 20 hours per week. Pay: £13.61 per hour.

Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Bury, Greater Manchester. This is a permanent part‑time position of 20 hours per week, generally including some weekend work.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly pay rate: £13.61. Guaranteed minimum of 20 hours per week, earning at least £272 per week. Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

• Trustworthy and reliable as you will be an important part of a small team. Your team and customers will depend upon you to perform your job to the best of your ability at all times.
• Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry – though we also welcome those starting their retail management career.
• Completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired, confirmed via email. Employment is subject to a satisfactory check.
