Job description

We are seeking a new retail supervisor for our shop in Barrhead, East Renfrewshire. This is a permanent part-time position, offering a minimum of 20 hours per week, typically including some weekend shifts.

The hourly pay rate is £13.11, guaranteeing at least £262 weekly. Overtime opportunities may be available for additional earnings.

As a retail supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the management team to run an efficient shop and deliver excellent customer service
  • Managing shop operations in the manager’s absence, including customer care, deliveries, and maintaining routines for safety and cleanliness
  • Opening and closing the shop, handling cash, placing orders, and developing team members
  • Controlling operational costs such as shrinkage, waste, and payroll

Requirements:

  • A friendly, positive, and hardworking attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships
  • Trustworthiness and reliability, as part of a small team
  • Experience in retail supervision or management is preferred but not essential; we welcome applicants eager to start their retail management career
