Retail Store Assistant (Keyholder)

£12.71 per hour plus benefits

Reports to: Shop Manager

Department: Trading

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 6 hours – Sundays only

Location: Carmarthen

Closing date: 28 June 2026

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the shop on Sundays, including keyholder duties and supporting a volunteer team.
• Assist the shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
• Review and process donated goods and new stock.
• Develop creative ideas to generate new income under guidance from the Shop Manager.
• Use customer‑service skills to make customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.

Qualifications and Skills

• Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
• Experience in a lively, vibrant retail environment.
• Adaptability to changing situations; able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commercial awareness.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience or understanding of retail and fashion (preferred).
