Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a motivated Retail Store Manager for the Camberley shop on High Street. You will lead a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers, inspire performance, and act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, boosting sales and fundraising.

This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) offers a salary of £27,336–£32,067 per year plus benefits. You must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Guide and develop a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers.
• Oversee commercial running of store including display, stock management, standards.
• Lead by example in customer and supporter service.
• Maximise profit through cost control and sales.
• Build relationships with local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Organise and run fundraising events for the store to meet targets.
• Maintain health and safety, safeguarding, security, HR policies.
• Handle manual handling tasks as needed.

What will I be doing?

• Guiding,inspiringand engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers. This includes recruitment,retentionand development of a diverse shop team.

• Taking ownership and responsibilityfor commercial running of your storeincluding display and merchandising, stock management,maintainingshop standards,storelayout,salesand income.

• Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.

• Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales.

• Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.

• Organising and running creative fundraising events for your storeto achieve fundraising targets.

• Maintaining compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security,administrationand HR policies.

• There will be a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required within the day-to-day duties of the role.
