Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a motivated Retail Store Assistant for the Southport Superstore. You will be an ambassador for the charity, delivering great service while supporting sales and fundraising goals.

This part-time, permanent role (26 hours/week) reports to the Shop Manager and involves a friendly team, community engagement, and flexible shift patterns to meet store needs. DBS checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
• Working as part of the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
• Maintaining shop standards including visual presentation and health and safety.
• Creating relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Supporting fundraising events for the store to achieve targets.
• Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
• Manual handling and physical activity as part of day-to-day duties.

What will I be doing?

• Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
• Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
• Assisting with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
• Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Supporting fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.
• Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
• There will be a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required within the day-to-day duties of the role.
