Job summary

Cancer Research UK in Lewisham is seeking a motivated Store Assistant to join our trading team. You will be an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, helping customers and supporters, and supporting fundraising efforts in-store.

The role offers a part-time 21 hours per week contract with a salary of £13.08 per hour plus benefits. You will contribute to a welcoming shop environment and community engagement while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in a busy customer service environment.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work independently when required.
  • Ability to work well in a team.

  • Flexibility to meet business needs and rota requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer and supporter service.
  • Work as part of the shop team to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
  • Assist with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
  • Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
  • Support fundraising events to reach targets.
  • Take keyholder responsibility as trained.
  • Perform manual handling and physical tasks as required.
