Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a part-time Retail Store Assistant for the Oakham Shop. You will be the face of our charity, delivering excellent customer and supporter service while helping drive sales and fundraising targets.

The role reports to the Shop Manager in the Trading department, requires 22.5 hours per week, and involves some manual handling and weekend flexibility. Salary £12.71 per hour plus benefits, and full eligibility to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and supporter service.

• Support fundraising events for the store to meet targets.
• Take keyholder responsibilities as required (training provided).

What will I be doing?

• Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
• Working as an integral part of the shop team to achieve ambitious sales and fundraising targets.
• Assisting with maintaining shop standards including visual presentation, safeguarding compliance and health and safety.
• Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
• Supporting fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.
• Taking keyholder responsibility as required (training provided).
• There will be a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required within the day-to-day duties of the role.
