Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Retail Security Officer to protect customers and staff on the shop floor with a calm, professional presence. You’ll provide first-class service while deterring theft and maintaining a safe environment.

The role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview, with the aim of building a rewarding career within Mitie’s security team and broader facilities management group.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence or willingness to complete the training.
• Full 5-year checkable employment or education history.
• Proactive, professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences.
• Carry out regular store patrols.
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss.
• Work closely with store management teams.
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks.
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite.
