Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Wells. You will guard staff and visitors, patrol premises, and monitor entrances to deter theft and ensure safety.

The role requires an SIA license, a 5-year career history, and the ability to work under pressure. You must have your own vehicle and be comfortable with the 13:00-22:00 Sun-Wed shifts. This position offers a permanent transfer after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• SIA License is required.
• A 5-year checkable work history is required.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit to perform duties.
• Ability to work under pressure is essential.

Responsibilities

About the role

Shift Timings – 13:00-22:00 Sun - Wed

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
