Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known Totnes store. The role focuses on protecting staff and customers by patrolling the premises, monitoring entrances and exits, and responding to incidents with calm, decisive action.

You must hold an SIA license, have a 5-year checkable work history, and be physically fit to work the 14:00-23:00 shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. A own vehicle is required to reach the site.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is required to perform security duties.
• Five-year checkable work history is mandatory for this role.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.10

Location – Totnes

Shift Timings – 14:00-23:00 Fri & Sat

Must have their own vehicle

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
