Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a busy store in Bude. You will patrol the premises, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents, ensuring safety for staff and customers.

Must hold an SIA license and have a 5-year verifiable work history. The role requires flexibility with shift patterns and its own transport is advantageous for location access.

Qualifications

• SIA license is mandatory.
• A verifiable 5-year career/work history is required.
• Experience in a security role is advantageous.
• Candidate must be physically fit to perform tasks.
• Ability to work under pressure is essential.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the retail store premises.
• Monitor entry and exit points and investigate disturbances.
• Call for assistance in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive customer relations while maintaining safety and security.

About the role

Title – Retail security officer

Pay Rate – £13.10

Location – Bude

Shift Timings –Must be flexible as per clients requirements

Must have their own vehicle

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
