Job description

Main Responsibilities

We believe that the best approach to deterring criminal activity is understanding vulnerabilities and risks at each location, and tailoring our approach to effectively reduce these risks. As a Retail Security Officer, you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and collaborate with local authorities.

You will be responsible for all guarding duties while in store, including:

• Patrolling the shop floor to deter criminal activity
• Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, proactively minimising risks
• Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
• Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
• Conducting searches of colleagues and contractors in line with company policy
• Reporting incidents digitally and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
• Providing detailed and legible incident reports to assist clients and authorities

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 22 Hours

Shift Pattern: Monday 14:00-21:00, Saturday 12:00-22:00, Sunday 11:00-16:00

Hourly Rate: £13.54

Experience Requirement: Minimum 3 years of guarding, police, or military experience

The Person

To be effective, you should be a confident communicator, capable of providing detailed verbal and written accounts of incidents. You should be welcoming, patient with customers, and able to handle conflicts professionally.

Required Experience and Qualifications

You must hold a valid SIA licence. Previous experience in retail security is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
