Contracted hours: 26 hours - Friday to Saturday 12:00-22:00, Sunday 10:00-16:00

We are seeking a reliable retail security officer for our Aldi store in Bristol Fishponds. All applicants must hold a valid SIA licence. Full site training will be provided.

Job Overview

• Protect property, people, and assets by providing security services according to site instructions and legal requirements.
• Meet or exceed KPIs and SLA targets to ensure contract retention.
• Undertake ongoing training for self-development.

Main Duties

Operations

• Ensure compliance with policies, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete assigned tasks as per AI's.
• Review and suggest improvements to AI's.
• Maintain valid SIA licences, including CCTV PSS if applicable, and renew 16 weeks before expiry.
• Follow safety and legal obligations.
• Follow instructions and work systematically.

Training

• Complete required competency training.
• Engage in additional training for development.
• Utilize technology for work objectives and professional growth.

Security and Health & Safety

• Report hazards and threats promptly.
• Remain alert to environmental changes and threats.
• Use initiative and involve others in threatening situations.
• Maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
• Document incidents accurately.
• Adhere to schedules and check call procedures.
• Report incidents to emergency services and communication centre.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience.
• SIA Licence.
• SC Clearance is desirable.
