Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a well-known Omagh retail store. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents to protect staff and customers.

Transfer to the client on a permanent basis after 12 weeks is promised with attractive benefits. You will need an SIA license, a 5-year checkable history, and physical fitness to handle demanding duties.

Qualifications

• SIA license required and current.
• Minimum 5 years of checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent customer-facing skills and vigilance.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises to deter theft and ensure safety.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices as required.
• Maintain positive relations with customers and staff.
• Respond quickly to incidents and escalate as needed.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10

Location – Omagh (BT78 )

Shift Timings – Monday–Friday 11:30–22:00; Sunday 12:30–18:00.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
