Job summary

BardWood Support Services is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Cannock. You will patrol premises, monitor entry/exit points and respond to incidents with the appropriate authorities, keeping staff and customers safe.

The role requires a valid SIA license, a 5-year checkable history, and the ability to work under pressure. Shift timings are flexible to meet client needs, with a permanent‑transfer path after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• SIA license required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Deal with large crowds and build positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate –13.10 per hour

Location – Cannock

Shift Timings – Must be flexible as per client's requirements.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
