Job summary

BardWood is recruiting a Retail Security Officer in Biggleswade to safeguard staff and customers at a busy retail store. You will patrol premises, monitor access points and respond to incidents with professional discretion.

The role requires a flexible approach to shifts, a valid SIA license, and a strong history of reliability. Training and ongoing support are provided by BardWood as part of a permanent transfer after 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• SIA License required and a verifiable 5-year career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in busy retail environments.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating disturbances and monitoring entry/exit points.
• Calling for help in emergencies and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Handling large crowds while building positive customer relations.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – 13.10

Location – Biggleswade, SG18

Shift Timings – Must be flexible as per client's requirements.

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
