Job summary

Trago Mills Limited is seeking a Retail Sales Assistant in Merthyr. The role is part-time (20 hours) across 7 days, with responsibilities across the shop floor to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.

You will greet customers, help them find products, price and stock shelves, and maintain shop cleanliness. Cash handling and promoting offers are key tasks; training on health and safety will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Pricing goods, stocking shelves and displaying merchandise.
• Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all fixtures, equipment and fabric of the shop premises.
• Responsible for taking cash, card and finance payment.

• Promoting special offers in-store.
• Handling complaints or passing them to a manager.
• Carrying out duties away from usual areas as reasonably required.
• Prepared to carry out arduous work, either physical or mental.
• Willing to take on reasonable additional responsibility as necessary.
