Job summary

Brewers Decorator Centres in Trowbridge is seeking a friendly and reliable Part Time Retail Sales Advisor to help customers and keep the branch and its delivery service running smoothly. You will join our well-known local store, famous for its wide range of decorating products.

The role is 20 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota. No prior product knowledge is required as full training will be provided, along with a comprehensive benefits package including a

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Approachable and friendly, able to help customers and colleagues.
• Reliable and able to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Willing to attend training to become Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required.
• Full training will be provided; product knowledge not required initially.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch to uphold Brewers' standards.
• Use product knowledge to recommend products and assist customers in finding the best solution.
• Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request stock as needed.
• Develop sales of wallpaper, paint and fabric within the branch.
• Build relationships with customers to understand needs and provide a comprehensive service.
• Promote seasonal items and merchandise to increase visibility and sales.
• Assist with stock maintenance, unload deliveries, and distribute stock throughout the store.

You will play a vital part in helping us serve customers and keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly - experience with our products isn't necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we'll give you everything you need to succeed.

Our Trowbridge store is well known in the local area as being the go-to destination for all things decorating. The store is spacious and vibrant and attracts a mixture of professional decorators and retail customers thanks to the wide range of trade and designer paints we stock. Customers can find a large selection of wallpapers as well as all of the decorating tools and materials they need for their home décor projects. It’s thanks to our experienced and friendly team that we have earned our reputation for being the decorator’s first choice in the area. The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm and Saturday 8am - 5pm.

As a Retail Sales Advisor with Brewers, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service
• Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs
• Mix paint for Customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network
• Developing sales of the Company product range including wallpaper, paint and fabric
• Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service
• Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales
• Assisting with stock maintenance in the branch
• Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store

Who we are looking for to join our team:

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
• Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality - happy to help both customers and colleagues
• Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can always be relied upon to work as an individual
• Willing to attend training to become a Fire Marshall and/or First Aider if required
• Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
• Previous retail experience or product knowledge would be advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate
