Job description

At Fitshop UK, we have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Retail Sales Advisor based at our Glasgow store. We believe it is important to provide quality support for our customers. We need our retail sales team to be confident, polite, and personable individuals with outstanding communication skills to provide a first-class customer journey in store (and on the telephone when appropriate).

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a first-class customer journey and in-store sales experience by being approachable and delivering friendly customer service.
  2. Achieve and exceed daily, monthly, and annual sales targets.
  3. Build in-depth knowledge of our products and services to provide outstanding support to customers.
  4. Manage the full customer journey confidently to delight customers and positively impact our Trustpilot score, ensuring repeat business.
  5. Work with the store manager and assistant manager to replenish stock, perform visual merchandising, and ensure stock remains clean and well-presented.
  6. Support stock checks and changes to shop layout as directed by the retail management team.
  7. When trained, comply with cash handling, reconciliation, and banking procedures.
  8. Support footfall-driving activities such as demonstrations, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
  9. Maintain a safe environment on the shop floor for the team and customers.
  10. When trained, be a key holder for the store, adhering to security and safety requirements.
  11. Engage in continuous personal development and support team growth through relevant training and preparation of manuals.

Team collaboration:

In addition to working with a great store team, you will connect with other retail stores, sales, customer care, and our warehouse team.

Requirements:

  • Maintain a calm, confident, and enthusiastic manner when dealing with customers.
  • Make recommendations to customers and close sales effectively.
  • Possess confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understand the customer journey and create a welcoming store environment.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a wider team.
  • Use own initiative and be self-motivated.
