Job summary

BardWood Security Services is seeking a Retail Relief Security Officer for a busy Yeovil store. You will patrol the premises, monitor access points, and respond swiftly to incidents while maintaining a positive shopping environment for staff and customers.

Flexible weekday and weekend shifts, with driving duties and the requirement for a valid driving licence. The role offers a pathway to client transfer after 12 weeks with a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• SIA licensed security professional with valid certification.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and be able to drive as required.
• Physically fit to undertake task requirements and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for help in emergencies and operate theft-detecting devices.
• Build positive relationships with customers and staff.

About the role

Title – Retail Relief Security Officer

Pay Rate – £14.67

Location – Yeovil

Shift Timings –

Must be flexible to work weekdays and weekends in line with client requirements and possess a valid driving licence with the ability to drive

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
