Job summary

Bristol Airport is recruiting a commercially minded Retail Performance Executive to support the delivery of the airport's retail strategy. You will monitor performance with our Retail, Food & Beverage and Advertising partners, identify revenue opportunities and help maintain high standards across the operation.

The role is based on-site across the Terminal and Lulsgate House Head Office with five days on-site and flexibility for early, day and late shifts.

Job description

We are recruiting for a commercially minded and proactive Retail Performance Executive to support the delivery of Bristol Airport’s ambitious retail strategy.

Working closely with our Retail, Food & Beverage and Advertising partners, you’ll monitor and analyse performance and insights, identify opportunities to increase revenue, and help ensure consistently high operational, customer service and health & safety standards across the airport.

You're excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills will mean you excel in influencing change and having those difficult conversations. You'll be comfortable working independently and part of an inclusive and collaborative Commercial Team.

This is a full time role, based on site across the Terminal and Lulsgate House Head Office. You will be required to attend site 5 days per week with flexibility to work earlies, days and lates to meet the needs of the operation.

There will be a two stage interview process for the role, first stage interviews taking place on Weds 9th September 2026.

More about the role

You'll support revenue growth by identifying activities and opportunities to boost income generation.

You'll analyse insights and data, whilst keeping abreast of industry trends and competition in order to provide insights to business partners to optimise trading.

You'll be a visible presence in the operation, sometimes during our busier times such as early mornings or late at night, in order to build excellent relationships and become the go to person for support.

You'll monitor presentation, health & safety and compliance, forming structured action plans to ensure top quality performance in all key areas.

And you'll collaborate with airport operational management to maintain a safe, welcoming and efficient retail environment. Collaborating with customer relations in the efficient and effective resolution of complaints.

About You

You'll have commercial accumen and a proven ability to bring effective, influential working relationships with the ability to professionally challenge.

You'll have a good understanding of compliance and process with excellent attention to detail.

You'll have good planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and adhere to strict deadlines.

Proactive and self-motivated, with examples of adding value as both an individual contributor and an active team member.

You'll have the ability and confidence to analyse data and insights to provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
