Job summary

ZARA in the United Kingdom is seeking an organised Operations Deputy Manager on a maternity cover basis to support our store leadership team. You will help run stock flow, cash desk processes and front- and back-of-house operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

You will lead with positive role modelling, coach colleagues, review operational reports and KPIs, and ensure compliance with security and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail operations, supervisory or management roles.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and consistent approach to processes and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support smooth stock flow, including deliveries, replenishment and stockroom standards.
• Oversee cash desk processes, card transactions and returns.
• Maintain store systems (POS/RFID, iPods, iPads and Bluebirds) and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Review operational reports and KPIs to drive efficiency and performance.
• Support front-of-house operations, including fitting rooms, queue management and cash desk coverage.
• Assist with store supply ordering and budgeted stock levels.
• Lead training and coaching for colleagues and managers.
