Job summary

eXPD8 is seeking a Retail Merchandiser based in the GL5 4AG area. You’ll join a field-based merchandising team, supporting household name brands. Although based in one area, there are opportunities across a variety of stores.

You will ensure fixtures are set up, products and promotions displayed attractively, and shelves are well stocked. The role covers Books, Gift Cards and Beauty Accessories, with scheduled shifts and ad hoc work as agreed. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of, or a passion for, merchandising, retail and/or customer service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with own initiative and meet deadlines
• Comfort with manual handling and moving stock
• Full UK driving license and access to a car

Responsibilities

• Ensure fixtures are set up effectively and products and promotions are displayed attractively
• Keep shelves well stocked and merchandised to planograms and standards
• Work across categories including Books, Gift Cards and Beauty Accessories
• Set up promotional displays and signage to communicate offers
• Be flexible with ad hoc visits and occasional home-delivery tasks for POS or stock items

You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

How you'll deliver excellence:

• Compliance and Standards
• You'll know and stick to the merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures and health and safety guidance.
• You'll follow and implement planograms, where provided, to ensure consistency and compliance with merchandising standards.
• Product Placement and Replenishment
• You'll arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
• Promotional and Point of Sale Setup
• You'll set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.

• Be comfortable with a bit of manual handling! You'll need to move and arrange our products from the warehouse to the shopfloor.
• Are willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items for some visits (you'll be paid extra to do so)
• Are confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about your tasks
• A full UK driving license and access to a car is required
