Retail Merchandiser - Tesco Merthyr Tydfil Extra

We're seeking a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Merthyr Tydfil Extra, CF47 0AL. You'll be part of a field-based retail merchandising team, primarily working within The Entertainer concession at Tesco, with potential opportunities across other categories such as Books and Entertainment, Health and Beauty.

Your responsibilities include setting up fixtures effectively, displaying products and promotions attractively, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked.

About the role:

This position is primarily based within the CF47 0AL area.

Confirmed working hours:

• Thursday: 11:30am - 2:30pm
• Friday: 2:30pm - 5:30pm
• Saturday: 2:30pm - 5:30pm

Additional ad hoc work may be available and agreed upon.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expertise in The Entertainer: Know the brand and products inside out, and share that knowledge with your team.
• Compliance and Standards: Follow merchandising standards, store policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines. Implement planograms to ensure consistency.
• Product Placement and Replenishment: Arrange products on shelves to maximize visibility and appeal.
• Promotional Setup: Set up promotional displays and signage effectively.
• Communication: Build relationships with store colleagues and provide feedback via our application.

• Experience or passion for merchandising, retail, or customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently within set time frames.
• Pride in delivering high standards and service.
• Comfort with manual handling and moving stock.
• Willing to accept home deliveries of point of sale or stock items (additional pay).
• Proficient with a company tablet for tasks like downloading briefs and taking photos.
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
