Job summary

eXPD8 Ltd. is seeking a Retail Merchandiser based at Tesco Romford, RM20. You’ll be part of a field-based merchandising team, visiting stores to set up displays, stock products, and implement promotions across multiple brands.

The role covers general merchandising including books, gift cards and cosmetics. It is a fixed-term contract ending 9 November 2026, with potential to move to permanent work for the right candidate.

Job description

Do you have what it takes to make the shelves irresistible to shoppers? Do you have a knack for spotting what looks good and creating eye-catching displays? Do you have an eye for detail? If so at eXPD8, we're looking for a Retail Merchandiser based in Tesco Romford 2 in the RM20 2ZP area. You'll be an integral part of a field-based retail merchandising team, working on behalf of exciting household name brands. Please note that although you will be based in one area, there are work opportunities across a variety of different stores. You will be responsible for ensuring the fixtures are set up effectively, products and promotions are displayed attractively, and the shelves are well-stocked.

About the role:

This role will be work across a variety of categories including: General merchandising which could include books, gift cards and cosmetics.

Confirmed working days/hours:

• Tuesday 7:00am - 11:00am
• Thursday 7:00am - 10:00am
• Saturday 7:00am - 9:30am

This is a fixed term contract that ends 9th November 2026, however there would be opportunity for the right candidate to move to permanent work.

As a Retail Merchandiser, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality field activity across assigned retail stores. You will set up, maintain, and check product displays to make sure each visit is completed accurately, safely, and on time, in line with client briefs, service level agreements, and quality standards.

Working in the store, the Retail Merchandiser will follow daily schedules and client instructions, using your judgement and attention to detail to deliver consistent in-store execution. You will work independently while keeping in regular contact with your District Team Leader to flag any risks, resolve issues, and keep activity on track.

As the Retail Merchandiser you will also act as the eyes and ears in store, providing clear written updates and photographs that support client reporting, insight, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do:

• Visit assigned stores on schedule to set up and maintain product displays
• Follow instructions (planograms) and client guidelines for each visit
• Make sure displays look great, are safe, and meet company and legal standards
• Take clear photos and write short reports after each visit using company systems
• Let your Team Leader know if you run into problems (like missing stock or access issues)
• Build good relationships with store staff and represent the company professionally
• Keep up with any required training or certifications
• Complete all store visits on time
• Follow instructions and keep displays looking their best

What You will Need:

• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (if needed)
• Experience in merchandising, retail, or customer service
• Good at organizing your own work and managing your time
• Comfortable working on your own and following instructions
• Good communication skills
• Able to use a smartphone or tablet for reporting
• Understand basic health and safety
• Be honest, respectful, and positive
• Build strong relationships and work well with others
• Get things done efficiently and reliably
• Always look for ways to improve
