Retail Merchandiser Role - CB5 Area

We're seeking a Retail Merchandiser based in the CB5 area to join our field-based retail merchandising team. The primary focus will be within The Entertainer concession at Tesco, with potential opportunities across categories such as Books and Entertainment, Health and Beauty.

Your responsibilities include setting up fixtures, displaying products and promotions attractively, and maintaining well-stocked shelves.

About the role:

This position is primarily based at Tesco Cambridge Newmarket Road.

Confirmed working hours: 12 hours/week, specifically:

• Thursday 08:00 - 12:00
• Friday 14:00 - 18:00
• Saturday 14:00 - 18:00

Additional ad hoc work may be available and agreed upon.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Expertise in The Entertainer: Know the brand and products thoroughly and share that knowledge with your team.
2. Compliance and Standards: Follow merchandising standards, store policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines. Implement planograms as provided to ensure consistency.
3. Product Placement and Replenishment: Arrange products on shelves and displays to maximize visibility and appeal.
4. Promotional Setup: Set up promotional displays and signage to communicate offers effectively.
5. Communication and Relationships: Build and maintain good relationships with store colleagues and provide feedback to client teams via our feedback app.

Ideal Candidate:

• Passionate about merchandising, retail, or customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently within set timeframes and proactively solve problems.
• Pride in maintaining high standards and delivering excellent service.
• Comfortable with manual handling of products.
• Willing to accept home deliveries of stock or POS items (additional pay applies).
• Confident using a company tablet for tasks like downloading briefs and taking photos.
• Having a full UK driving license and access to a car is advantageous.
