Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products and customer service standards.
- Schedule staff shifts and manage employee performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
- Stay informed about new products, trends, and competitors in the card and gift industry to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing, adhering to company standards for merchandising and displays.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock ordering, receiving, and merchandising to ensure optimal product availability.
- Manage daily operations, including cash handling, banking, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Plan and execute in-store promotions and marketing initiatives to attract customers and boost sales.
- Prepare and manage the store budget, monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure financial targets are met.
- Participate in community events and initiatives to promote the store and its offerings.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise among staff or with customers professionally.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain efficient store operations.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and inventory management.
- Previous relevant experience.
- A relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
