Job summary

Caval Limited is seeking a Site Manager to oversee a refurbishment of a retail project in Glasgow. You will coordinate site activities, ensure adherence to H&S protocols and ensure that installations meet project design specifications.

The role requires managing site teams, subcontractors, enforcing safety, developing schedules, liaising with clients, and ensuring on-time delivery with quality results.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• First Aid certification.
• SMSTS qualification.
• UKATA Asbestos Awareness.
• Fire marshal responsibilities may be required on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, delivering the project on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Manage site teams and subcontractors, fostering collaboration.
• Enforce H&S protocols and conduct regular site inspections.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, addressing delays.
• Act as primary client contact, providing progress updates and managing expectations.
• Coordinate labour, materials and equipment to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure work meets company and industry standards through inspections and snagging.
• Address on-site challenges promptly to minimise disruption.
• Monitor budgets and record variations with approvals.
• Maintain accurate site records and daily reports.
• Liaise with architects and engineers to resolve technical queries.
• Review subcontractor performance and address underperformance.
• Manage project completion and handover, addressing post-handover issues.
