Job summary

Murville Consultancy Limited is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our Pre-Construction / Estimating FM Projects team. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical building services on retail projects, including new stores, refurbishments and maintenance.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical estimating, strong technical drawing interpretation, and proficiency with Trimble estimating software and Excel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in Electrical estimating
• Experience pricing building services projects
• Proficiency using Trimble estimating software / Excel
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for electrical building services projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to fully understand the scope of works.
• Produce estimates using Trimble estimating software and Excel.
• Compile material, labour, and subcontractor costings.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare tender breakdowns, cost summaries, and value engineering options where required.
