Job summary

AMB Recruitment are working with a growing building services business to add an Electrical Estimator to their pre-construction team in Knutsford. You will price tender submissions, review drawings and specifications, and produce estimates using Trimble and Excel.

The role requires strong electrical estimating experience with a good understanding of building services and commercial awareness, plus the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical estimating experience.
• Confident user of Trimble estimating software.
• Experience pricing building services projects.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Someone proactive, organised and comfortable working to deadlines.
• Ideally experience within retail, commercial fit-out or FM environments.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate electrical estimates and tender submissions.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Producing estimates using Trimble and Excel.
• Compiling labour, material and subcontractor costings.
• Obtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotes.
• Identifying risks, scope gaps and value engineering options.
• Supporting internal tender reviews and client queries.
• Helping improve estimating processes, cost libraries and internal systems.
