Job summary

Whittard of Chelsea is seeking a Retail Deputy Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional service, empowering a brilliant team, and helping the store run smoothly. You’ll be on the shop floor with customers, coach your team, and ensure daily performance is tracked and improved.

In this supervisory role you’ll lead by example, manage rotas, analyse sales data, and drive a culture of brilliant customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in retail.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and lead by example.
• Strong commercial instincts with data-informed decision making.
• Proactive mindset and problem-solving on the shop floor.
• Excellent organisation and time management under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the front on the shop floor, coaching the team in customer storytelling.
• Assist Store Manager with rotas, performance reviews and development.
• Monitor KPIs like conversion and ATV to drive daily improvements.
• Ensure stock, deliveries, H&S compliance and visual standards.
• Build local community links and support store marketing activities.
