Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Ability to stock shelves and process payments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Know my customers and serve them with passion and pride, giving great natural service.
• Encourage customers to provide feedback through the Have Your Say survey.
• Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment and stock routines to meet customer needs.
• Apply training to work safely and follow procedures.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
• Be knowledgeable about store performance and understand our role in profitability.
• Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
• Clock in/out accurately to ensure correct pay for hours worked.
• Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available.
• Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products to all customers.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls on self-service checkouts and explain actions to customers.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store layout with clear aisles.
• May run the shift in the absence of Shift Leader or Store Manager.
• Follow all training to keep self, others and the store safe and legal.
• If applicable, undertake Post Office Local duties including background checks.
