Job summary

Farmfoods Ltd. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for a full-time role in Ipswich. You will oversee daily shop operations, coach retail staff, and ensure excellent customer service while managing costs. The position requires flexibility across 5 days with weekend shifts and a 43-hour week.

Qualifications

• Friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work.

• Trustworthy and reliable as part of a small team.
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if hired.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great service.
• Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed, and shop routines are safe and tidy.
• Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
