Job summary

Compass Group UK&I Defence is seeking a Retail Assistant to join a busy, customer-focused team. The role is full-time, contracted to 37.5 hours per week and 49.2 weeks per year, with opportunities for progression within a supportive environment.

You will represent Defence, handle cash, and ensure food hygiene and safety standards are met while maintaining excellent customer service and reliability. Experience in a similar role is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service skills and a can-do attitude.
• Experience handling cash and operating a till or point-of-sale system.
• Strong team player with reliable timekeeping and punctuality.
• Ability to work well under pressure and stay focused on tasks.
