Job summary

Primark Newbury is inviting applications for a Retail Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term, part-time basis. You will work 10–16 hours per week with varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of £13.00 and an environment focused on fashion, value and customer service. In this role you’ll help customers, keep the shop floor appealing, process till transactions and assist with deliveries.

Qualifications

• UK eligibility: Primark can only employ individuals who are above the compulsory school leaving age in the country where they will be employed.
• Right to work in the UK: verify the contracted hours if visa restrictions apply.
• Aged 18 or over for roles with hours before 6:00am or after 11:00pm due to legal restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an amazing experience, assisting with sizes, styles, purchases or returns.
• Set up a visually appealing shop floor with full shelves and tidy fitting rooms.
• Deliver a fast, friendly till experience and handle queries, voids and returns.
• Receive, unpack and check deliveries, price items, and ensure standards are met.

What you’ll do

As a Retail Assistant you’ll be making customer’s day, every day. Here’s a taste of what that looks like in action.

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with things like sizes or styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a good looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms, and a sales floors that showcases all the latest fashions.
• Deliver a fast and friendly experience at till points, processing queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products our onto the sales floor making sure they are correctly priced – all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
