Job summary

Primark in Birmingham is seeking a Retail Assistant for a part-time, fixed-term contract (up to 20 hours per week) ending 30 January 2027. The role includes varied shifts from mornings to weekends, with a pay rate of £13.00 per hour.

Applicants must have right to work in the UK and be at least 18 for late/early hours restrictions. You’ll help customers, maintain a well-presented shop floor, handle till transactions, and contribute to a positive in-store experience with discounts and pension

Qualifications

• Providing customers with an amazing experience when assisting with sizes, styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a well-presented shop floor with full shelves and tidy fitting rooms.
• Delivering a fast, friendly till experience and handling queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking deliveries and ensuring correct pricing and shelf readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service at the till and on the shop floor.
• Maintain attractive displays and keep shelves stocked and prices clear.
• Assist customers with purchases, exchanges or returns and manage queues.
• Receive deliveries, price items correctly, and ensure fitting rooms and floors are orderly.

Contracted hours: Various hours, up to 20 per week
Shift pattern: Varied shifts including mornings; afternoons; evenings and weekends – all will be discussed at interview.

As a Retail Assistant you’ll be making customer’s day, every day. Here’s a taste of what that looks like in action.

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with things like sizes or styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a good looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms, and a sales floors that showcases all the latest fashions.
• Deliver a fast and friendly experience at till points, processing queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products our onto the sales floor making sure they are correctly priced – all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
