Job summary

Primark Barnsley is hiring a Retail Assistant on a fixed-term contract until 2 January 2027. You’ll work part-time with varied shifts from early mornings to evenings and weekends, 6–20 hours per week. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional in-store experience and maintaining an attractive shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with sizes, styles, purchases or returns.
• Set up a visually appealing shop floor with full shelves and tidy fitting rooms.
• Deliver a fast and friendly till experience, handling queries, voids and returns.
• Receive, unpack and price deliveries, ensuring products are displayed correctly on the shop floor.

Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
Employment type: Fixed term contract until 2nd January 2027
Job type: Part time
Contracted hours: 06-20 hours per week
Shift pattern: Varied shifts available, including early mornings from 5:30 AM; afternoons; evenings and weekends – all will be discussed at interview.

What you’ll do

As a Retail Assistant you’ll be making customer’s day, every day. Here’s a taste of what that looks like in action.

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with things like sizes or styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a good looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms, and a sales floors that showcases all the latest fashions.
• Deliver a fast and friendly experience at till points, processing queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products our onto the sales floor making sure they are correctly priced – all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
