Qualifications

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for proactive and dynamic COSD Coordinators to work on a fixed-term 18-month contract at our Princess Royal University Hospital and King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill sites.

King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching Trusts. We are a large, local provider of diagnostic, surgical, and treatment services for common cancers, aiming to provide the best possible care to cancer patients and develop better treatments. Cancer pathways at King’s are part of an interconnected network of cancer care with partner Trusts and community services within the South East London network, and beyond.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the Cancer Performance Manager in ensuring that trust-wide cancer data collection mechanisms are robust and will be responsible for recording the Cancer Outcome and Services Data set (COSD). This involves developing complex information reporting tools, presenting detailed analysis, and providing expert analytical and statistical advice to support administrative teams, management, cancer nurse specialists, and clinicians.

We are looking for someone who can:

• Analyze and interpret cancer data to support the cancer management teams and data teams.
• Be organized, self-motivated, attentive to detail, able to work under tight deadlines, and capable of working effectively and collaboratively.

The role is ideally suited for someone with a minimum of three years’ experience working in the NHS, in a Band 4 or above position, and proficient in data analysis, clinical audits, and information management.
