Job summary

VerseOne Group’s Trigger Response team comprises experienced nurses and allied health professionals delivering outreach care and life support training across the hospital.

The team reviews and treats deteriorating patients, aiming to reverse deterioration and prevent unnecessary critical care admissions, while delivering training in line with National Outreach Forum standards and Resuscitation Council UK guidelines.

Qualifications

• Support the safe delivery of clinical practice and guidance to ward and departments regarding deteriorating patients.
• Undertake research and lead clinical audit relating to resuscitation and care of the deteriorating patient.
• Attend deteriorating patients, cardiac arrest and trauma calls as part of the team.
• Obtain and maintain Resuscitation Council UK instructor status and follow its guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and co-ordinate internal and external training programmes and education.
• Share skills to ward areas and support staff to reduce length of stay and improve patient care and safety.
• Maintain professional profile and adhere to Trust Policies and Procedures.
• Lead when required and contribute to governance and quality initiatives.
