Job Description:

Our client is a major European investment bank with a well-regarded distressed products desk. A vacancy has arisen for a commercially minded restructuring lawyer to work directly with that desk as an integral part of the investment process. Joining a small team of lawyers on the trading floor, you will handle a broad workload including assisting with complex trade closings, credit reviews, and portfolio management.

This role is suitable for a bright and highly motivated lawyer with approximately two to six years of PQE, capable of taking on significant responsibility from day one. Candidates should have a strong restructuring background, ideally gained in a major law firm, and be eager to diversify their experience. Prior experience in-house, possibly through a secondment, is preferred but not essential. The key qualities include strong analytical skills, good judgment, and the ability to develop productive relationships across the bank.

This is a rare opportunity for a lawyer to join a market-leading team directly on the trading floor.
