Origin Legal International in Bermuda offers an opportunity for a non-contentious restructuring specialist to join a respected offshore boutique, working on major cross-border matters in close collaboration with heavyweight Partners.
The role is suitable for lawyers from mid-Associate to Counsel, seeking a role that combines high-quality work with a balanced life outside the office, and the chance to advise Bermuda counsel alongside leading global firms.
In the onshore world, the size of the firm often dictates the quality of the work. Not in Bermuda. This long-established boutique routinely acts as Bermuda counsel, advising on major cross-border matters alongside some of the most prestigious law firms in the world.
It has a live opening for a non-contentious restructuring specialist and would be keen to speak with interested lawyers at any level from mid-Associate right through to Counsel. This is an opportunity to work closely with heavyweight Partners, doing complex international work but in an environment very different to most big onshore firms. It’s perfect for someone who takes their career seriously, and who also prizes having a life outside of the office.
Overseas qualified lawyers must be admitted in the UK or an equivalent Commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada or South Africa). A minimum of 3 years’ PQE is required for work permit. The firm is happy to consider applicants at all levels above that, up to and including Counsel. Relevant corporate experience gained with a leading offshore/UK/equivalent commercial firm is essential.
Bermuda offers you the opportunity to live and work in one of the world’s most desirable locations. The island benefits from a mild year-round climate, never too cold in the winter and rarely too hot in the summer. It is famed for its picture-postcard pink sand beaches and crystal-clear ocean, but it also has plenty of history and boasts all the attractions associated with a luxury holiday destination. And if you should need a break from island life, with regular direct flights to London, New York and other parts of the US, it is particularly well connected.
Our team has over 25 years’ experience of helping lawyers to make international and offshore moves. If you would like to find out more about this role or chat about an overseas move in general, please get in touch.
