Role overview
As the National Restructuring Compliance Senior Manager, you will establish, maintain, and develop standards for restructuring work across all UK offices. You will support the restructuring team in compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to the firm's goals through technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Stay updated on compliance, regulatory, and technical developments.
- Communicate changes to the compliance team and relevant parties.
- Contribute to the bi-monthly restructuring newsletter.
- Improve restructuring procedures, checklists, templates, and case management diaries, consulting with the Compliance Director and technical committee.
- Ensure updates and rollouts of procedures are timely and accurate.
- Identify training needs and collaborate with Learning and Development to address them.
- Support technical reviews and liaise with technical representatives.
- Respond to technical enquiries and log queries for knowledge sharing.
- Develop knowledge of GDPR and AML related to restructuring.
- Maintain and update the Compliance portal.
- Assist in external and RPB reviews, including drafting responses.
- Summarize review findings and monitor issues addressed through in-house reviews.
- Notify the Director of serious issues for action.
- Identify areas for improvement, suggest solutions, and implement them.
- Report to the Director to ensure policy support.
- Organize technical committee meetings and serve as secretary.
- Manage document packs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate across departments and undertake additional projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Extensive insolvency experience in a professional practice.
- Strong technical knowledge; JIEB or CPI qualification preferred.
- Good knowledge of IPS or similar case management system.
- Excellent time management and responsiveness.
- Experience implementing internal procedures is desirable.
- Experience in compliance and system review.
- Analytical skills with good business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills for all levels.
