Job summary

Interpath is recruiting an Assistant Manager in Restructuring to join the North Restructuring team. Based in Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle, you’ll work in engagement teams, manage client engagements, and advise on distressed situations with senior stakeholders across sectors. Strong insolvency qualification and commercial acumen are essential.

You will develop junior staff, contribute to new work, and may travel as required to support multi‑jurisdictional assignments.

Qualifications

• ACA qualified (or due to qualify in 2026) or an experienced restructuring professional.
• Corporate insolvency experience is beneficial, ideally with an insolvency licence/JIEB qualification.
• Demonstrable experience managing your own workstreams within Restructuring and Insolvency engagements.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Proactive self-starter capable of working independently and within teams.
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Willingness to travel and work across sectors.

Responsibilities

• Work in engagement teams of 3–6 people supporting senior team members.
• Build trusted adviser relationships with senior management and other stakeholders.
• Manage engagements to scope, time, quality and budget in line with practice guidelines.
• Oversee work as main client contact on relevant assignments.
• Undertake detailed analysis to present robust client advice.
• Appraise challenging situations and develop innovative restructuring options.
• Contribute to new product or business development activities.
• Mentor and develop junior staff on assignments.
