Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry to provide consultant-led care for patients referred from general practice and community dental services. You will work closely with Orthodontics and OMFS, supporting multi-disciplinary clinics and Head and Neck cancer MDTs.

The role offers opportunities for postgraduate teaching, quality improvement and research, with flexible job planning to align with interests and development goals.

Qualifications

• Primary dental qualification
• Full current registration with the GDC
• Entry on GDC specialist register in Restorative Dentistry or within 6 months of expected CCST
• SAC approved minimum five year training in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent
• Intercollegiate specialty fellowship examination or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in Restorative Dentistry or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-led expertise on referral to patients from general dental practice and community dental service
• Work with Orthodontic and OMFS teams for joint orthodontic and restorative management
• Run and manage outpatient clinics to deliver high quality patient throughput
• Support Head and Neck Cancer MDT and related directorates
• Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary clinics and governance activities
• Delegate care to dental care professionals within the Community Dental Service
