The post is fixed-term for 12 months and part-time, with activities spanning collaboration across a multi-disciplinary team and leadership in Restorative services.

Qualifications

• GDC registration is required.
• BDS or equivalent qualification.
• Successful completion of an SAC-approved training program.
• ISFE or equivalent or within 6 months of achieving ISFE.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage referrals to the Hospital Department against the agreed criteria.
• Respond promptly to referrals from GDPs and Community Dentists with information on assessments, treatment plans and treatments.
• Refer patients back to referring clinician for subsequent restorative work and ongoing oral health care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records with patient confidentiality.
• Audit the service to evaluate effectiveness and clinical outcomes.
• Participate in the Maxillo-Facial Department's Clinical Governance programme and study/journal club.
• Engage in audit and research programmes as appropriate.
• Adapt to service changes and implement them where needed.
• Work independently to provide high quality patient care.
