Job summary
UK Restoration Services is seeking a General Construction Operative to join our restoration team working on historic UK buildings. You will assist skilled trades, support site operations and help move projects from start to finish in a busy environment.
The role requires flexibility, a proactive attitude and the ability to follow instructions. A driving licence is preferred to access our remote yard daily and contribute to a collaborative, safety‑minded team.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction is favorable but not required.
- Ability to follow instructions and understand on-site plans.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices.
- Willingness to work in a busy restoration environment.
Responsibilities
- Support skilled tradespeople with on-site duties.
- Assist in projects from start to finish.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Mix and pour concrete for foundations, beams or floors.
- Dig trenches for foundations and assist in laying groundwork.
- Provide materials to bricklayers, carpenters and colleagues.
- Mark out sites and set up barriers and safety signs.
- Operate basic hand tools and small machinery.
- Support the team with site operations and materials.
