Key Responsibilities

As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, your responsibilities will include supporting the Restaurant Manager with:


Customer Service
  • Leading by example, prioritizing customers.
  • Maintaining customer focus across all operations.
  • Scheduling staff accurately to meet demand.
  • Supporting the team to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Conducting regular store walks from the customer's perspective.
People
  • Encouraging staff to share suggestions and concerns.
  • Providing feedback, setting goals, and supporting team members.
  • Creating a positive, respectful work environment free from discrimination.
  • Managing performance in collaboration with HR when needed.
Driving Sales
  • Understanding sales patterns, popular products, and peak times.
  • Ensuring products are well merchandised and stock levels are maintained.
  • Coaching staff on upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and motivating continuous enhancement.
Operations
  • Monitoring KPIs like sales, staff turnover, food safety, and health & safety standards.
  • Leading by example under pressure.
  • Managing weekly stock orders and quality checks.
  • Scheduling maintenance and ensuring equipment calibration.
  • Maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Overseeing opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensuring cleanliness, food hygiene, and customer experience standards.
  • Reporting incidents promptly and accurately.
  • Working flexibly across shifts as part of the management team.
Key Requisites
  • Experience in restaurant management.
  • Flexible and disciplined work approach.
  • Food environment experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • High standards of food hygiene and safety.
  • Experience handling customer complaints.
  • Adherence to health and safety procedures.
